“No one sees me.” and “She’s better than you.” are two phrases that played on repeat in my head for years. I turned it off. I tuned it out. I stopped owning the negative self-talk in my head.

One of the easiest things you can do to start living your best life is to simply change your negative self-talk and fill it with positive self-talk. It’s honestly a micro habit that will pave the way for your thoughts and your actions. Here are three ways to incorporate positive self-talk in your life.

1. Be Mindful of Your Thoughts: Start by paying attention to the negative self-talk that you engage in regularly. This could include negative statements about your appearance, abilities, or accomplishments. Write them down and challenge them with positive affirmations or constructive self-talk.

2. Practice Gratitude: Focus on the things that you are thankful for in your life and make a conscious effort to appreciate them. Start a gratitude journal! It has helped me focus on more positive and uplifting thoughts. I am so glad I started one!

3. Use Positive Affirmations: Positive affirmations are statements that you can repeat to yourself to reinforce positive beliefs about yourself and your abilities. Identify a few affirmations that resonate with you and repeat them regularly throughout the day. This can help you replace negative self-talk with positive and empowering thoughts. Examples of positive affirmations include “I am capable and confident,” “I am deserving of success,” and “I am worthy of love and respect.”

If you are looking to create more purposeful habits schedule a quick 30-minute consult. We will work together to uncover your next step! This is a habit that has to be learned and repeated. I bet you catch yourself somewhere along the way today! Course correct as you go and give yourself grace!
