It’s my last year of my 30’s. Wow, did that go fast! My birthday is on December 1st, and as I celebrate another trip around the sun, I find myself immersed in a sea of reflections on the past 365 days. The life of a working mom is a delicate dance between career aspirations and the responsibilities of motherhood. This past year has been a journey filled with growth and the realization that every challenge is an opportunity for learning. Here are three invaluable lessons I’ve learned in the last year and my aspirations for the upcoming year:

1. Embracing Imperfection

In the whirlwind of juggling work and family, the pursuit of perfection became an elusive goal. The house doesn’t always have to be spotless, and every meal doesn’t need to be a culinary masterpiece. Accepting imperfection has been a theme of my journey this year. I’ve learned that it’s okay to share responsibilities allowing me to focus on what truly matters.

2. Prioritizing Self-Care

As a working mom, it’s easy to get caught up in the demands of work and family, often neglecting personal well-being. Over the past year, I’ve come to understand the importance of self-care in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Whether it’s stealing a quiet moment with a book, indulging in a relaxing bath (I take them weekly), or simply walking the dog to clear my mind, I’ve realized that self-care is not a luxury but a necessity.

3. Mastering the Art of Time Management

Time is a precious commodity, especially for a working mom. This year has been a crash course in mastering the art of time management. There is clock time and then there is real-time. Am I right? Real-time moves fast! From balancing work deadlines to attending school events and baseball games, I’ve honed my ability to prioritize tasks and make the most of every moment. Last night, I shared about time management in the workplace. One of the things we talked about was time management and using the NDB Model. It’s the cornerstone to managing my life! You can watch the replay here!

Moving forward, I am committed to continued growth, recognizing that each day brings new opportunities for learning, resilience, and joy. The last year of my 30’s is going to be epic! I’m calling it my Glow Up Era! I can’t wait for you to see what’s in store!

I would love to have you a part of it! I am launching a mastermind community loaded with weekly lives, community, accountability, and retreats! I can’t wait to share everything I’ve learned to help you achieve life changing results! I welcome you to apply here!

Here’s to another year of embracing life’s beautiful chaos and savoring the moments that make it all worthwhile!

Hugs & Love,

Dr. B
