As a young girl, I often found myself lost in sports and captivated by older girls ahead of me who possessed extraordinary abilities. I loved watching the girls who could drive a golf ball, swing a bat and knock a ball over the fences, and hook a bowling ball down the lane with ease.

Who did you look up to when you were younger? What abilities or talents did that person possess? My guess is you imitated that by playing a sport like your favorite athlete, dressed up and walked down the runway like a fashion model, put on a construction worker hat and tried to fix something in your house, or put on your mom’s heels and make up as if you were going off to work for the day. While I too did many of those things, I couldn’t help but wonder if such powers existed within ordinary people like myself.

It wasn’t until much later in life, after I lost my mom at the age of 16, that I began to realize the truth: every woman is a superhero in her own right, with a unique superpower waiting to be discovered. When I stop and reflect back, I found my passion for not just helping women discover their best self, but really uncover their superpowers and take action to embody the person they have always wanted to become.

I just came off an amazing week where I attended the Columbia Chamber Breakfast, Women’s Network Luncheon, hosted a table at the COMO Showcase and was a sponsor of That’s What She Said Columbia. It was a fantastic series of events and each one of them my goal was to empower women, connect, and help them find their super power to become the best version of themselves. These are a few fun pictures from the events!

If you are ready to uncover your superpower, answer these three questions!

  1. What energizes you?
  2. What challenges have you overcome?
  3. What impact do you want to make?

Once you’ve answered these questions can you see what your superpower is? If you are finding yourself stuck in knowing what it is or want to unpack it, I would love you to attend a LIVE Q&A session on Wednesday, April 17th at 7:30pmCT to bring your questions and get immediate support! Just reply to this email with “Superpower” and I will send you the link!

It’s time to unlock your superpowers and be your own hero!

Hugs & Love,

Dr. B
